Actress and Singer Selena Gomez

Born July 22, 1992 in Grand Prairie, Texas, actress and singer Selena Gomez is the daughter of former stage actress Mandy Teefey (née Cornett) and Ricardo Joel Gómez. 

When they divorced, she was raised by her mother, who later married again. Her interest in acting came when she saw her mother prepare for the theater,which led her to start her own career. She was seven when she starred in Barney & Friends.

Selena Gomez has curly natural hair. It lists their favorite band Paramore. One of her hobbies is playing basketball. She also likes skateboarding and surfing. Her Purity Ring says: "TrueLoveWaits".

Since Selena Gomez appeared on programs such as the TV film Walker, Texas Ranger: ordeal. She began work in 2004 with the Disney Channel, her way to Zack and Cody adventure as a guest star. She was then seen in two Hannah Montana seasons before they landed the lead role of Alex Russo on the Disney Channel Series, Wizards of Waverly Place. She appreciated their role in Wizards of Waverly Place.

She also had a number of film roles. These include the direct DVD movie another program Cinderella Story and Princess Protection. As for her music Race teen pop band Selena Gomez & the Scene in 2009. Their first album is called & Tell, which was followed by a year without rain is formed Kiss in the year 2010.

Selena Gomez is also involved in various philanthropic projects. It was UNICEF spokesman Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign appointed in 2008 and was the youngest UNICEF ambassador for the election in 2009.
